Book review: 'All Around Bustletown: Winter' is a darling picture board book kids can enjoy on their own

I'll admit it. There are times, many times, actually, when I don't want to read to my kids. I know, I'm a terrible mother (insert crying/stressed emoji). While my older kids don't care if I read to them or not, the littles do. And that's what makes All Around Bustletown: Winter so appealing to me, because it's a picture book without any words! Well, there are words on the back cover, but I usually don't count back covers. So I can give this book to my non-readers guilt-free because there's literally nothing to read to them. Phew!

Mom Guilt. It's a real thing.

All Around Bustletown: Winter is a picture book that reminded me a bit of Where's Waldo, only on a calmer scale. Seriously, there were times when I'd look at a Where's Waldo book and feel a bit panicked because my eyes were being inundated with so much....stuff! But I didn't feel that way while looking at this board book. Phew!

My littles have enjoyed looking at this book. Thanks to it being a board book, it still looks as good as it did the first day they got their hands on it, not an easy feat with a two-year-old. From the inside of a home, to a farm, the bus station, and into the city, this book is absolutely charming.
