Book review: 'Go Wild!: Sea Turtles'

My littles are now obsessed with sea turtles after I read Go Wild!: Sea Turtles a few nights ago. This book is one of the latest in their Go Wild! series and, while I thought the book was okay, my preschooler and elementary kids thought it was amazing.

This book has a lot of facts about sea turtles, including what they eat, how they breathe, and where they go to lay their eggs. While I knew about sea turtles digging nests in the sand for their eggs, I didn't know that the little hatchlings wait for all their siblings to hatch before heading down the beach. These youngsters seem to understand about strength being in numbers at an early age!

I also learned that sea turtles drink the salty ocean water. But where does all that extra salt go? They excrete it out their eyes. Crazy, right?

Go Wild!: Sea Turtles was a great jumping off book to help my kids develop a curiosity about these animals. After reading the book, I had to peruse our bookshelves, looking for more turtle books. Win!

This is a clean book with nothing offensive in it.
