Book review: 'Taxi Ride with Victor' turns mistakes into blessings

Victor is a taxi driver for the universe. As different life forms/aliens ask him for rides, he inevitably takes wrong turns and drops them off at places they were not planning on traveling to. However, despite each wrong destination, each of his passengers discover that they ended up exactly where they needed to go in, "Taxi Ride With Victor."

This picture book will probably appeal to preschooler through kindergarten. My olders read it once, but after that, they were finished with it. My youngers, however, have looked through this book several times.

"Taxi Ride with Victor" is a fun read about friendship and how sometimes, even the best of intentions end up in mistakes. But those mistakes can still bring about good experiences and people in our lives.

With red, blue, black, and white as the main colors of this story, "Taxi Ride with Victor" has a cute look that can appeal to kids. Illustrator Elsa Klever's style compliments Sara Trofa's writing and the two make a great team in this picture book.
