Thanksgiving + Christmas + home improvement projects +homeschooling my kids = I've been a terrible blogger.
Mid-October, Marco and I decided to pull our kids from public and charter schools (we tried both) and homeschool them. Well, I'm homeschooling them. Marco is a behind-the-scenes supporter. As in, he works long days so I can be a stay at home mom and homeschool our kids.

Don't you love our thankful tree!? And yes, I am planning on going over possessifying last names with my child. |
Positives of homeschooling:
My kids are better able to learn at their own paces
We're done by 2:30 pm every day
NO HOMEWORK!
Our afternoons and evenings are waaaaaaay less stressful than they used to be
NO HOMEWORK!
My toddler doesn't cry every day about missing her siblings anymore. Phew!
Negatives of homeschooling:
It's expensive; we pay our property taxes AND for our own curriculum. You're welcome, parents of public schoolers
My house is messier
But, let's be real here. We started homeschooling, then it was fall break, then it was Thanksgiving break, and we're coming up on Christmas break. It's pretty easy to homeschool when you have breaks going on all the time. Ask me mid March, when we've been going much longer, and maybe my pros and cons list will change.
Or maybe it won't. Who knows!
I AM still working on love story chapters. Don't you fear.
In other news:
If you go to Salt Lake City to see the Christmas lights, jump on the free Jingle Bus! It is so cute and a great way to see lights in a warm vintage bus. Oh, and the driver is crazy fun.
If you're in the Kaysville area, head over to The Lights on Sherwood Drive for an incredible (free!) light experience. It's about 30 minutes long and while we were there the owner came out and gave everyone candy canes.
This photo doesn't have a reason for being in here. I just like this guy. But then, I guess that's reason enough.
