A salad tragedy

Something terrible happened to me several months ago.

I couldn't eat salad.

As long-time AGR readers know, I have a great love for salad. But last fall, weird things started happening to me every time I ate salad. My mouth would itch.

Yeah, totally strange. Right?

At first I thought it was a one-time occurrence. Then I realized it wasn't. I consulted with my primary care physician, Dr Google, and he told me it was Oral Allergy Syndrome.
I know everyone has been dying to see a recent salad photo. You're welcome.
Basically, people who experience seasonal allergies (me) can also suddenly develop allergies to raw fruits and vegetables as well. Especially during allergy season.

So I had to go several months without eating my beloved salads. Every few weeks I'd try a salad, just to see if I could eat it. But I never could. My mouth would get itchy and swollen.

Have you ever experienced an itchy mouth? It's impossible to scratch so it just drives you crazy.

But finally I can eat salad again! So I've been celebrating by eating salad just about every day.

Life is complete.

In other news, I finished up part 13 of the love story a few minutes ago. I just to need to scan some photos in and it should be live on the blog tomorrow.
