In which I attempt to explain why I haven't posted any love story chapters

I know. I know I promised every Wednesday I'd reveal more of the very romantic and highly entertaining story of "How Liz and Marco Met."

And, obviously, I haven't done a great job keeping my promise.

But I have a reason.

Shhh. It's a secret, Christmasy reason.

Rae and I are collaborating on a book. It's going to be for my kids' Christmas present. And, since I'm spending most of my free writing time it, I've decided to neglect this blog in favor of my children.

Now you can't be mad at me anymore, huh. I mean, it's for the children!

Here's a sneak peak at the title page. Isn't Rae doing a fabulous job?! She's basically a creative genius.

Okay, so I cropped the title out because since it's a surprise for my kids it'll have to be a surprise for this blog too.

Every time Rae sends me a snapshot of something she's drawing I get excited. Like, super excited. Her drawings are really bringing my little story to life.

Speaking of the story, it's going to be in chapter book format. As in, less than 100 pages, hopefully easy enough for a second grader to read, but interesting enough to hold a sixth grader's attention.

Now I'm off to work on my (hopefully) last edit!
