High in the mountains of China live panda bears. And, while they're very cute and make some of the most delightful stuffed animals, actual pandas are quite fascinating. I learned a lot reading National Geographic's latest book called, Go Wild!: Pandas.
This book is a great one for young learners. It's very easy to read aloud and the colorful graphics and full-color photography make it visually appealing.
Naturally, since pandas are vulnerable to being endangered, the loss of their habitats and conservation efforts are lightly touched upon. But, since this book is geared toward young children, a lot of the dangers pandas face isn't talked about, which I appreciated.
One of my favorite panda facts was knowing that their poop is so fibrous that it's possible to make it into paper! I also had no idea that panda moms use their mouths to carry their baby cubs around.
Go Wild!: Pandas is a great book for young learners with nothing offensive in it. My preschooler loved having it read to her and enjoyed the photos very much.
