Book review: 'Strange Hollywood' contains many strange and unique facts

Know any movie buffs? If so, this book is for them. "Strange Hollywood" is full, I mean FULL of all kinds of facts. You can read about stars from the silent film era all the way to the present day.

Did you know Tom Hanks collects portable typewriters? Yep, he has more than 200 of them!

Did you know Christina Ricci is scared of swimming pools because she thinks sharks could enter through the hatch? I'm not sure how one would fit in there....

"Strange Hollywood" is full of facts like those above as well as tidbits about movies, films, actors, and musicians. Each fact is anywhere from a few sentences to a few pages long. You can learn about lawsuits celebrities have filed, their phobias, and even how some of them acquired their stage names. Trivia about Sesame Street, Gone With the Wind, and Wheel of Fortune are in this book. Singers like Taylor Swift and Davie Bowie are written about. Basically, this book covers just about every Hollywood angle you could think of.

The illustrations in "Strange Hollywood" are fun and add a lot to this book. Illustrated in a playful manner, there aren't many of them, but the caricatures are spot on.
