Layton Vietnam Memorial Wall

I've been seeing new signs on one of the Layton exits for this memorial and had to check it out.

The Layton Vietnam Memorial Wall is pretty inspiring. It's built at an 80% scale of the wall in Washington D.C.
Photo taken by one of my kids. I take what I can get!
I loved the benches placed around the wall. Each one of them is dedicated to a woman and seeing their names made me wonder what they went through and what acts of service they performed.

I also thought the little umbrella stands were a great touch. Inclement weather won't ruin your wall-visiting experience with one of those in hand.

Obviously, the wall of 58,000+ names is the draw, but I also loved reading the bricks. Pretty cool to know so many people wanted their loved ones to be remembered in a personal way.
There are lights placed everywhere too and I bet this place looks majestic in the night. I told my husband we needed to come back some dark night so I could see the wall all lit up.
That photo won't center. So I'm leaving it there. Blogging issues...

If you'd like to visit the wall, here's the link with directions!
