Sewer smells

You guys,

My master bathroom smells like a sewer and it's driving me crazy.

Several weeks ago we ordered new hard flooring for our entire upstairs, sans the bedrooms (new carpet is coming later on this month!). We knew when we bought this home that it would need new flooring. After all, it's 14 years old and well, it's just time.

We picked out some gorgeous floors (luxury vinyl plank=waterproof=kid-proof) and some nice guys took three days and installed everything for us.

Then, three weeks later, we opened our basement toy closet and realized there were puddles everywhere. As in, the pipe from the toilet (not the sink, not the tub, darn it!) was leaking every time the toilet flushed.

So. gross.

Turns out the flooring installers didn't put the master toilet back on right. Dang it!

They're fixing things, but first everything needs to dry out.
See that hole there in the floor? That's where the master toilet is supposed to go. And you know what happens when you remove a toilet from where it's connected to the sewer?

It stinks. A lot.

Add that to me being pregnant and having the nose of a bloodhound and, well, you probably understand why I haven't willingly entered that bathroom for days now.
That's the toy closet. Those other shelves are being removed tomorrow. And anti-fungal spray, new walls, new drywall, new sub floor, new paint.....you get where I'm going.....will hopefully be finished by this time next week.

Meanwhile, the floor in the toy room needs to be maneuvered around carefully because the toys aren't in the closet.

Make that another room I'm avoiding because toys strewn across a huge room is driving me crazy.

So many projects that hinged on the new flooring (new bathroom counter tops, vanities, baseboards, paint) are now on hold while we wait for the bathroom to be reassembled.

But that hasn't stopped me from working on the yard. I may have purchased more than 100 new flowers and bushes. My plant therapy is going strong.
