I may be MIA online, but not in real life

2016 has been eventful.

Husband got a new job. In Davis County.

Now, I totally understand an hour commute is something many people consider normal or even short. But not us. I mean, Marco's commute for the past several years was been walking down two flights of stairs to his basement office. So switching to 60 minutes each way!? Very different.

Which brings us to selling our house. We love living in Cache Valley. Love, love, love it. But that hour commute, dang it, has really cut into our family time. So the sign is up in the front yard and we're going to hopefully cut that commute down to 15 minutes or less.

Gosh, my house has never looked so great. Have you ever wondered why people (I'm including myself) put off making what we live in nice until someone else to buy it? I've totally been pondering that issue for the past month as I've touched up paint, cleaned out closets, packed things we don't use, and made trips to the thrift store. I mean, seriously, I should have done this stuff a long time ago! But there was usually a book calling to be read and, well, I usually answered those books' calls.

Anyway, I'm still working on the love story chapters. But, let's be real, it'll probably take a while because I have to show this house, find a new one, and move.

Here's to an exciting 2016!
